There is no mystery to the allure of the Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra. The group have long been praised for its diverse musical vitality and have always managed to deliver performances that touch the soul of its audience.
Music and culture are often intrinsically linked. A loss of the traditional sounds of our culture is a loss of the rich heritage we hold.
In conjunction with Malaysia Day, the Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra (MPO) will pay tribute to the Malaysian icons of yesteryears with Semalam Di Malaya – a special concert which will take place for two nights at the Dewan Filharmonik PETRONAS (DFP) on the 15th and 16th of September 2018.
On the 18th November, Konsert Tanah Airku at the Dewan Filharmonik Petronas stole our hearts in more ways than one.
Taking on the essence of traditional music and giving it their own unique yet faithful spin, the Malaysian Philharmonic Youth Orchestra (MPYO) continues to celebrate its 10th anniversary through the theme Konsert Tanah Airku by collaborating with Orkestra Tradisional Malaysia (OTM) and the godfather of Malaysian rock and blues, Datuk Ramli Sarip. Ready your self on the 17 November – 18 November at the Dewan Filharmonik Petronas for a musical resurrection like no other!
