Back in 13 July, Takahara, Ariana, Kemat and Adam from The Venopian Solitude spared a few hours of their time at our office to talk about their tour in  Europe, the hassles of crowdfunding and their upcoming album!

Tired of dealing with people around her who still struggle to differentiate between Merdeka and Malaysia Day, The Venopian Solitude’s Takahara Suiko uses her solo pseudonym VIONA to write a song that she hopes will finally get the message across.

Recently catching our attention amongst the many local brands is ‘Gunting Batu Kain’. The clothing label that hails from Ipoh, which makes traditional clothes with a modern twist. It’s fun and fresh whilst maintaining a modern classic feel. The clothes that come in cool patterns are designed to flatter different body types, allowing for everyone to enjoy the clothes they make.

To the average city goer, Cyberjaya may not seem to hold much beyond its glut of tech spaces and development firms. However, this year’s edition of the Cyberjaya Multimedia Festival, or CMF18 (previously known as the Cyberjaya Music Festival) might prove yet again that the town is indeed capable of appealing to a more artistic crowd in its second instalment. Taking place on the 11th and 12th of August at Centrus Mall, the weekend festival boasts an ambitious mix of lineups aiming to ignite a creative burst in entrepreneurs, technologists and artists alike.
