We Have Your Saturday All Planned Out: TEDxYouth@KL
Ever wondered what it’s like to be in the presence of a comedian, video game designer, climate change researcher and advocate for positive body image all in one day? Perhaps going to TEDxYouth@KL this Saturday (25th Feb) will be your best bet in putting that yearning to rest.
TEDxYouth@KL is expecting to see the EX8 in Subang Jaya be filled with more than 1,200 youths from all over Malaysia who are all looking for answers to the same question– ‘WHAT NOW?’– which also happens to be the theme of this year’s TEDxYouth@KL initiative. The goal is to share ideas and ways to help the Malaysian youth in envisioning their futures and the journey leading up to it.
What would a TEDxYouth programme be without talks, right? This year’s lineup of speakers comprises of various field experts that come from diverse backgrounds. A visual artist (Ernest Zacharevic), a cancer researcher (Professor Cheong Sok Ching), Sumatran rhino conservationist (John Payne) and survivor model (Leonard Chua) will all be there to shed some light on how they soldiered on against all odds and cultural norms to impact the community around them.
A few more special speakers will make an appearance. If intellectual discussions and events like this are what float your boat, TEDxYouth@KL on the 25th of February is something that you definitely don’t want to miss. What now? Go and get your tickets, lah!
