Catch UK Rockers While She Sleeps On Their Maiden South East Asian Tour

Take a break from all those mainstream acts and have some underground sound this month. A metalcore band from Sheffield, While She Sleeps is playing South East Asia for the first time! Sadly, they’re not coming to Malaysia, but maybe, if you’re truly a fan, Singapore isn’t really that far is it?

While She Sleeps (WSS) started in 2006 in Sheffield, England, and with original vocalist Jordan Widdowson and Allan Worrall (backing vocalist) they did several early live shows. In 2009 they decided to become a full-time band and Widdowson left due to work commitments.

With the inclusion of new vocalist Lawrence Loz Taylor, they began writing new material in their home studio: music now commonly known and often cited as melodic hardcore – metalcore for short.

WSS toured extensively in the UK and managed to land themselves a slot in Sonicsphere Festival in Finland in 2010. The following year they were invited to open for Bring Me The Horizon (BMTH) in Sheffield at the O2 Academy and also for their seniors’ US tours, even winning the Best British Newcomer award at the 2012 The Kerrang Awards.

As for their discography, WSS released The North Stands For Nothing EP in 2010 and in 2012, the full-length disc This Is The Six which was their high-impact debut. To date, WSS have just released their second album Brainwashed and are heavy into pushing the single of the same name for this South East Asian tour. They have released four memorable single/videos to date, including “New World Torture”, “Four Walls”, “Trophies of Violence” and “Our Legacy”.
