YSD and KLPAC’S Battle of The Bands Might Be Your Claim to Fame

by Low Tse YennJune 7, 2018

Yayasan Sime Darby (YSD) is calling on all bands to give them an opportunity to perform at Malaysia’s largest free-for-all arts festival!

In conjunction with Yayasan Sime Darby Arts Festival (YSDAF) 2018 with Kuala Lumpur Performing Arts Centre (KLPAC), themed You, Me + The Arts, YSB is hosting a battle of the bands to find one talented band to win RM 2,000 and perform at YSDAF finale.

YSDAF is a festival which celebrates all things arts which promises to be engaging as well as educational as it plans to showcase and raise awareness on social issues. With this year’s theme, YSD and KLPAC are choosing to focus and emphasize on the relationship between people and arts. Being under YSD’s community and health pillar, they have expanded their horizon to work with communities such as the disabled, the underprivileged, the education sector and more.

Having kickstarted in February, the festival will go out with a bang with a festival finale on the 18th and 19th June. With the last two festivals being such a success, this festival, which only happens once every two years, is one you definitely do not want to miss, especially for bands as they could potentially be the ones performing in front of thousands!

The date for submission ends on 8th June at 11:59pm, so what are you waiting for? If your band has at least two original songs, submit your band’s profile and one original song now!

On the 29th and 30th of June, the 8 finalists will battle it out at Live Fact, Kota Damansara, entry is free for all those interested to watch.
