Tony Pietra Arjuna And Isazaly Isa Helm Malaysian Segment of International Collaborative Feature Film!

by Maira ZamriFebruary 15, 2016

IT’S not often that you find a feature film combining the forces of more than one director, but CollabFeature does exactly that!

Their second collaborative film project, Train Station, follows a single character through cities like Tehran, Berlin, Athens, Dubai, Barcelona, Mumbai and more than two dozens of other cities across five continents.

The main character, known only as “Person in Brown”, is played by 40 actors ranging in age, gender, ethnicity and sexual orientation. Along his/her journey, he/she is presented with choices that trigger different paths, giving us a universal story of fate, decisions and destiny.

And have we mentioned that Malaysia is one of their many destinations?

The Malaysian segment is directed and produced by Tony Pietra Arjuna (who you may remember as director of the “Issues” segment in Cuak) and also sees Isazaly Isa as its co-writer and producer. It also stars actor Michael Chen, who last took to the stage in Theatrethreesixty‘s epic Angels In America Part.

Train Station unites cultures and breaks language barriers, reminding us that we all live under the same conditions of life in a world full of diversity, options and consequences.

CollabFeature is a group of independent filmmakers from different parts of the world who get together and create multi-director feature films.

These directors, producers and writers are in charge of different segments filmed in their respective countries, where stories and scenes are reinterpreted to suit their unique creative voices and environment.

Train Station is expected to premiere sometime in 2016.
